Restroom Premieres at the International Digital Video Festival

Once again the International Digital Video Festival was a blast. They moved it to the Regency Theatres’ Fairfax Cinema in Beverly Hills and what a great location it is. The screening went smoothly, only two people walked out. Those props(or should I say, poops) have a strong effect on people. Did the ole’ Q&A and later in the week Restroom got nominated for Best Comedy. Once again Shannon Rawls thanks for all your professionalism and hospitality.
The Restroom’s Done

Surpassed only by the epic production time of Man of Steal, Restroom is finally completed. It all started with a plane ride home where I was on a 12-seat death trap that didn’t have a restroom. It was on that 2hr ride from Cleveland to Scranton that I penned the majority of Restroom. We started shooting some scenes in the spring of 2005 just so I could keep busy and keep my mind off of cigarettes (I’m still smoke free BTY). We continued to shoot on random weekends throughout the summer and by the end of the year we had everything but a big ending.
Between the day job, side jobs, and video contests, Restroom got shelved for most of 2006 with me occasionally chipping away at it from time to time. Like Man of Steal this flick needed a lot of time to find it’s purpose and overall story. Once it found it’s way- JC, Al, and I discussed what the big ending would be and we were on our way. With a couple re-shoots and some awesome music by Derock Goodwin at the beginning of 2007, it looked like we might actually finish this sucker and release it. So here we are, finally.
